CurrentProvide strategic support, communications, government relations, and project leadership in renewables, conservation, and energy storage projects for local (Indigenous, private & public) and international clients interested in the Ontario, Canadian and North American markets. Lead multidisciplinary teams of up to 10 on behalf of CRD and clients.• Provide strategic support, and project leadership for clients to acquire lands, EA, Permits and Approvals to develop 200 MW ($500 million) energy storage projects in Ontario in response to IESO’s 2022 Storage RFP.• Acquired projects, organized and led solar, biomass (cogeneration), wind, and hydroelectric. submissions. Earned multiple support resolutions from stakeholders, Indigenous communities, and Municipal governments. Organized Open Houses, deputations, engaged stakeholders, Agencies, and governments.• Market reports, due-diligence and project evaluations in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Eastern Canada and USA for domestic and international clients seeking to place equity and debt. Targeted acquisition of Greenfield and operating renewable projects; energy storage opportunities; utilities; and distribution and transmission lines. • Acquired hydroelectric developments rights on federal and provincial Crown lands for clients, which included Piloting the use of new alternative hydroelectric technologies from Europe and USA. Led funding and P3 discussions for client with governments.• Worked with the IESO, Hydro One, Ontario Energy Board (OEB) and local Municipal Electrical Utilities (MEU) to develop MEUs’ renewable and storage projects, and to help MEU’s clients reduce electricity use and connect “Behind the Meter” projects to the MEU’s distribution systems.• Reviewed renewable and conservation measures for remote Indigenous Communities. • Submitted and secured federal and provincial grants and loans for energy projects.
