Patrick Gooi, MD is an eye physician and surgeon specializing in glaucoma and advanced reconstructive surgery of the iris and lens. In 2013, he completed a surgical fellowship with Dr. Ike Ahmed, one of the world's foremost glaucoma and anterior segment experts. Dr. Gooi has published extensively and has given numerous invited presentations at international meetings.In 2015, he founded Cloudbreak Eye Care. He is dedicated to finding revolutionary solutions to advance surgery, research, and education. Cloudbreak is advancing the novel use of point of view cameras in medicine. They have published a number of articles in this rapidly evolving field and have developed a number of related IP's.Dr. Gooi is currently a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Calgary and is actively involved in training medical students and future eye surgeons. He is also the Digital Communications / Social Media Director with the Canadian Cataract Institute. His clinical and surgical practices are based out of the state-of-the-art Southern Alberta Eye Center, in Calgary, AB, Canada.
