About Patrick Grey

Originally from Lima, Peru, Patrick holds a B.A. in History and Spanish with a Minor in Latin American Studies. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2024 from the University of Florida. Completed the UF University Scholars Program as well as the Dept. of History’s Honors Program. His honors thesis earned the Department’s Andrew Family Prize for Best Thesis. Earned his Honors Medallion from the UF Honors Program and elected to the Beta of Florida Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa in the Spring of 2024.Interested in oral history, linguistics and archival research with a particular focus on the histories of the Atlantic, and resistance to American slavery. Patrick is pursuing his Ph.D. in History at Georgetown University. His doctoral studies are supported by the Beinecke Scholarship and Georgetown’s Patrick Healy Graduate Fellowship.
