I am a passionate technologist working in infrastructure administration. I have long term experience in Unix system administration, shell scripting and storage administration. I enjoy resolving the root cause of BAU issues. My goal is to automate and/or improve the efficiency of processes for administering operating systems. I actively develop tools for monitoring, investigation of OS problems and for the implementation of fixes/changes. I am a team player who loves to share tools, information and problem solving tips. Documentation is an important component of this sharing and I've improved my wiki based documentation to make it simple to contribute and share.I recently completed a long running project which saved about 30% of our storage administration maintenance costs by using compression technology to halve our storage footprint. The unix platforms were migrated without system interruption. I also coordinated the non-Unix platform migrations.My main skills are AIX systems administration, IBM storage (XIV, DS4800) administration, TSM and Actifio Backup administration, Brocade SAN administration and ksh scripting.
