Construction Management Specialist, Owner
CurrentFacilitating contract management, contract and change order modifications, and claim resolution through an extensive practical knowledge of field operations and thorough understanding of construction principles.• Administering and negotiating contracts including specification reviews, change order evaluation and pricing, inefficiency analysis, damage calculations, cost and time estimations, and collaboration with contractors and owners.• Evaluating claims / contract modifications and driving resolution through problem analysis, critical path scheduling, and dispute resolution.• Coordinating with all involved parties to resolve communication, scheduling, cost, and planning challenges to ensure that contract changes are made with minimum risk.• Representing clients (owners, contractors, surety bond companies) in all aspects of negotiation, dispute settlement and mitigation.Projects• Extensive heavy civil work including rebuilding/reinforcing levees and floodwalls, storm-proofing pump stations and commercial buildings, and reconstructing bridges and highways according to owner plans and specifications.• 25+ contracts for the rebuilding of New Orleans as part of the Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction System (HSDRRS) using Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) including settlements for partial termination for convenience and differing site condition claims.Clients include Royal Engineers; RiverCoast Enterprises; North American Specialty Insurance Company; HDR Engineering; Pontchartrain Partners; Galloway Johnson, A PLC; URS Incorporated; Linfield, Hunter & Junius, Inc.; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and their contractors, in conjunction with the Greater New Orleans Area HSDRRS in Southern Louisiana.
