Asked to transfer to the new position to troubleshoot and close a customer project that was not on track and had significant issues with planning, process and management. Agile project management processes deployed to the program to control and streamline delivery. Once established the new process was deployed as a standardized approach for all new customers. The project was brought back on track and was successfully delivered.Project manager for the delivery of the first version of Siri to Apple. Defined expectations, very tight delivery timeline and pushing the boundaries of innovation. First On-Premise solution for Nuance resulting in significant challenges including platform, hardware changes and remote installation requirements. The Pre-Alpha was successfully delivered to Apple in February 2011 leading to the success of Siri.

Management of projects within the Mobility division of Nuance Communications including Client, Server and Cloud based voice recognition applications from inception to delivery.Project management of Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search from concept to delivery using Agile development methodologies. The first production release of Dragon Dictation was delivered in 30 weeks and was a significant success reaching #1 on the business application charts with no significant bugs reported after release. It was rolled out to develop the Voice Mail to Text application and after successful delivery the whole division adopted Agile to deliver multiple customer facing projects.

Project manager and design lead of medical software used to gather clinical data to be used to form remote diagnosis of pediatric sleep apnea. Designed and lead the development team in the creation of two complementary solutions. etrending: Web based reporting and analytics tool which allowed a respiratory scientist to upload the results of a sleep study and visually interpret the trend of the patients blood oxygen level. Using algorithms that I defines the software then identified the sleep apnea events based on criteria developed with the Montreal Children's Hospital. Results were sent NPOSES.NPOSES: Web based clinical software based solution used to gather and analyze data from patients with suspected sleep apnea. Data from clinical surveys and the result of sleep studies are used by the software to identify a possible diagnosis for the level of severity of the patients sleep apnea. All data and results are sent automatically to a specialist physician who confirms the diagnosis which is then passed to the patients doctor who recommends treatment. FDA, ISO and HIPPA audits were passed - I built all procedures and documentation required to gain enable the sale of the sleep apnea diagnosis service as it was considered a software based medical device. Initial FDA, ISO and HIPPA audits were passed and maintain yearly with no major non-conformance.As a result of the successful certifications I was also asked to deploy SAP for a Montreal based pharmaceutical company with the controls and auditing required to maintain their FDA compliance.
