  In the summer of 2024, I had the opportunity to work for WinShape Summer Camps as part of the travel day camp team. Each week, we traveled to a new location to set up camp, with sites ranging across Tennessee, Georgia, and Virginia. As a Team Leader, I counseled a group of 12-15 kids aged 10 to 13 years old. My responsibilities included setting up camp skills, organizing team rooms, and decorating the camp each weekday before the campers arrived. I cared for a specific group of kids each week, leading them in Bible studies, camp events, and various camp skills. I learned a great deal about meeting children’s needs and making them feel loved and comfortable, especially since many of them came from unstable living environments. This experience was, by far, the most strenuous and stressful yet rewarding work I have ever done. Working for WinShape has profoundly impacted my faith and work ethic, and it has provided me with an incredible experience in leadership. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and wholeheartedly recommend working with WinShape.
