Solving problems through critical thinking and creativity has always been a part of how I operate. There are known problems before starting a project and almost always surprise problems that arise without warning, as I have learned through my professional work and creative projects. Whether I'm designing a drawing or woodworking project, making a costume, or restoring a vintage guitar (a new challenge for me), an unexpected issue may seem untimely and frustrating, but I've always loved sitting down and figuring out a way to make things work. It is no different in a work environment when presented with problems by companies and the government, such as creating a new customer loyalty program or seeking a new logistics software provider. Using critical thinking and creativity are critical for not just these larger picture problems, but also the issues that arise along the way. The ability to solve these diverse and complex problems through consulting opportunities is one of the things I love most about the profession.
