Patrick Heindel, MD, MPH, is a chief general surgery resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital who is pursuing a career in vascular surgery. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, and a Master of Public Heath from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed two years of professional development as a National Institutes of Health T32 research fellow in the Harvard–Longwood Research Training in Vascular Surgery Program. He will be completing a two year clinical fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. His research interests include machine learning, causal inference, clinical risk prediction tools, and comparative effectiveness research.
