As Associate Director of Career Services and Instructor of a Career Development Class at Salisbury University, I had the opportunity to become acquainted with Mr. Henehan both in and out of the classroom. Patrick was a student in the Career Development class I taught a couple of semesters ago. Also, Patrick utilized the services we provide in our office and I got to know him as he prepared for his career after college. As a student, Patrick was highly motivated and enthusiastic. When we conducted interactive activities in the classroom, he was always a genuine leader and contributed in a positive manner. His energy and positive attitude was outstanding and the demeanor he presented in the classroom made the experience valuable for all including myself. Patrick was a little different than most of my students in that class because he was always focused on what needed to be done and he was a sincere person at all times. Patrick would ask me questions that I could help him with but there were occasions I had to do research to give him the answer he needed. In my estimation this shows great initiative, motivation and drive in regards to his career pursuits. In addition, his work ethic and organizational skills were quite strong for a student at his developmental level. He was never late with an assignment and all assignments were done well. Furthermore, he displayed outstanding communication skills and was well-received by all of his fellow classmates. When he presented in class he had a unique ability to get the material across to those in the audience while making the experience quite fun and enjoyable. In addition, he seemed to respect all students and that respect was reciprocated from them. As a person it is quite evident that people tend to be influenced by his outgoing, honest personality. He worked very hard at SU both in his academic endeavors and his work experience outside of the classroom. In addition, Patrick managed to be active on-campus while gaining hands-on experience here at SU. This shows his organizational and time-management skills not to mention a strong work ethic. Without reservation, I believe Patrick possesses all the skills needed to be a very good employee. In conclusion, Mr. Patrick Henehan is a bright, articulate young man who has an unlimited future.
