Security Analyst
In this position, I've helped to bolster clients security function by uncovering threats through behavioral tracing (including the use of KQL queries) while comparing notes with counterparts when it was needed. I also gained some real-world experience with handling BC/DR events as they happened using CIS/NIST frameworks as a guidepost.I've worked with companies to resolve technical security debt within their infrastructure for an easier transition into an AWS cloud environment.I gained experience with cloud security/compliance solutions in AWS/Azure/SIEM environments including Azure Sentinel, Trend Micro Cloud One, AWS Security Hub, and Cybraics nLighten.I worked with counterparts within the company to improve security documentation and helped deliver quarterly security reports to our customers as part of our managed services contracts. I also worked with our global and local SoftwareOne teams in conjunction with higher educational customers to provide extensive research/data gathering into establishing adequate data privacy controls.I engaged in close collaboration across various teams to complete tasks such as auditing a customer’s AWS environment to streamline their remediation efforts. This involved assessing server infrastructure and making decisions on remediation severity and priority that allowed for a financially sound timetable that could move into FinOps and managed services.I was tasked with assessing different tools over the last few years such as Crowdstrike Falcon and Trend Micro Cloud One along with open-source tooling such as CloudSploit and Prowler which were beneficial in security/compliance assessments for potential customers. Some of these tools also allowed for further collaborations with ISVs across different landscape environments.
