Data Manager
As the Manager of Data Automation and Optimization, I was responsible for overseeing the loyalty points awarding data processes. I used my expertise to create and continuously improve the automated data processing system that awarded loyalty points to customers. To enhance the scalability of the loyalty awarding process, I implemented data-driven solutions that reduced the time and number of data queries needed. I also improved the stability of the loyalty awarding process by adding error-handling and self-recovery processes to ensure all points were awarded timely.I worked together with the Senior Data Enablement Manager to plan the data architecture for transitioning from on-premises Oracle to Google Cloud Platform's (GCP) BigQuery. This transition was intended to make BigQuery the primary data source for reporting and analytics, as a part of the company's data roadmap. I collaborated with both technical and business stakeholders to translate business data extraction requirements into data mappings and dictionaries, bridging the gap between technical and business understandings.As part of my role, I trained data analysts on the best practices for extracting data to improve their efficiency and understanding of the database design. I prepared standard operating procedures (SOPs), data dictionaries, data flow charts, and swim lane charts as training materials for data analysts.
