Represented debtor, creditor, and Chapter 7 trustee clients on bankruptcy matters. Served as primary attorney in over 100 adversary proceedings and over 200 contested matters in the United States Bankruptcy Court, where I handled all stages of litigation and all aspects of motion practice. Represent clients in both Federal and state courts on commercial litigation matters, including foreclosures and foreclosure defense, receivership issues, contract disputes, real property issues, appellate issues, and general litigation. Post-Graduate Fellow, August 2009 – October 2009Conducted research for the organization The Democracy Collaborative on various federal and stateprograms designed to help individuals obtain and retain assets, including: New Market Tax Credits, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Community Development Block Grants, and Employee Stock Ownership Plans, among others. Conducted legal research and wrote client correspondence and other corporate documents in areas including: general banking law, TARP, deregistration transactions, REO properties, executive compensation and SERP plans. Analyzed SEC filing data to assist bank clients determine compensation benchmarks based on peer comparisons.

Conducted legal research and wrote memoranda in areas such as zoning, employment issues, foreclosure law, and contract law. Drafted litigation materials including: motions to dismiss and strike, complaints, document requests, and interrogatories.

Oversaw a team of thirteen sales representatives. Achieved over $1.1 million in monthly revenue from the sale of small business services. Obtained highest customer satisfaction rating in the Midwest region twice. Conducted interviews of perspective employees, assisted with hiring decisions, evaluated existing employees using established metrics, coached to areas of improvement, and provided continuing classroom training to existing employees.As an Escalation Manager, I had primary responsibility for back-end process performance and customer satisfaction for Midwest-region small-business customers. Reduced backlog of uncompleted orders by nearly 75% in a one-year period, resulting in company receiving higher ratings from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Created system to track orders that were held in an error status and a process to significantly reduce the time for such errors to be fixed. Enhanced customer service skills as the final point of contact for unsatisfied small business customers. Worked as liaison between the most dissatisfied customers and the legal and executive offices.
