Pat completed a Master of Engineering Science at the University of Tasmania before joining Hydro Tasmania in early 2005 where he worked in consulting engineering, asset management, research and development and business development.His key projects included the development and implementation of the Red Hills Creek Diversion scheme, which delivers over 10GWhrs of additional energy to the hydroelectric system in Tasmania. This project won the Tasmanian Divisions and was a national finalist for the Best Construction Project under $100M and Project of the Year in the Australian Institute of Project Management Achievement Awards. He has also been responsible for the finalisation of the Lower Lake Margaret mini hydro project and the development of the Ouse River Project irrigation development.Prior to leaving Hydro, Pat was the onsite project manager for the TasWind King Island project. Responsibilities included the development and implementation of the community engagement program on King Island and detailed feasibility and business case studies associated with the project implementation phase. Pat has a wide range of project and construction management experience and has commenced with Burbury Consulting in a contract role to manage key Project and Construction Management of infrastructure projects. `Pat has previously been a Director and Board member of the Australian Institute of Energy and the acting chair of the local branch of this institute.
