Following my focus on Advice Technology, I was able to broaden my scope to encapsulate the end-to-end advice journey for our 200+ adviser network.Facing an era of digital disruption, increasing legislation and consumer expectations, I developed ways to reduce the time and cost of the advice process, whilst simultaneously improving client outcomes through human centred design approaches and reducing business risk.With oversight of our technology team, centralised paraplanning service team and responsibility for our advice templates, I had the joy of being able to bring true operational excellence to advice across both internal advice teams and through our self-employed aligned adviser network.As a member of the Leadership Team within Aon Financial Advice, I brought my knowledge of advice, technology, business systems, change management and innovation to the leadership level.

Following from the sale of the financial planning business at Genesys Wealth Advisers, I continued with the business owner and became a founding member of The Social Adviser.In addition to managing the business and supporting the principal, the role also included the designing of a comprehensive online training solution intended for professionals and the development of online written and video content focused on generating outcomes for users.The role presented a unique opportunity to deeply research and investigate a cutting-edge space for professionals. In doing so, I attained a deep understanding of design thinking and online engagement mixed with strong practical knowledge of digital delivery.

Initially employed in an administration role, by 2007 my role of Operations Manager oversaw the growth of the firm from three employees to up to fourteen employees before the business sale in 2010.In addition to my management functions, I operated as an Authorised Representative of Genesys Wealth Advisers from 2007 and maintained my own portfolio of HNW clients.Responsibilities included training and oversight of the administration team, managing compliance, office management, assisting other advisers with complex client scenarios, cashflow management, provision of advice, oversight of paraplanning team, implementation and supporting the business principal with all aspects of the firm from top to bottom.My achievements included managing the transition to a paperless office, the businesswide transition to Xplan and building systems and processes to support its use for all client management, business workflow and reporting, as well as managing the transition from small business to a leading financial planning firm which sold very successfully in December 2010.Greatest personal achievements come from achieving some very special and meaningful client outcomes.
