Business Unit Quality Manager
Dallas/Fort Worth Area
Responsible for planning, developing, enhancing and maintaining the Container Business Unit Quality Management System (QMS); focused on continuous improvement in manufacturing and product Quality, and repeatable results for all products manufactured by the Business Unit to meet or exceed Business Unit executive management expectations and customer specifications.• Develop, implement, and audit Quality policies, procedures & training.• Provide guidance to plant level Quality managers on plant level Quality policies & procedures development, process improvement, risk management, goal setting and attainment, & training.• Ensure plant level policies and procedures align with developed Business Unit level policies & procedures.• Ensure compliance of QMS with regulatory bodies and governing standards: DOT, ISO, ASME, etc.• Facilitate the QMS Management Reviews at each plant.• Assist in and perform audits (Internal, ASME, ISO, Customer) at each plant.• Identify and evaluate risk and develop mitigation plans.• Identify strategic KPIs, by directing and facilitating the collection and analysis of data to quantitatively and statistically provide direction for Quality initiatives and activities.• Develop, implement, and maintain nonconformance detection and preventive action systems.• Work with executive leadership to develop a Quality mission/vision and objectives that are in line with the Business Unit's mission/vision and objectives.• Communicate vision with all levels of the organization from the top down and feedback from the bottom up.• Organize and run group meetings between the plant Quality Managers in the Business Unit to facilitate treamwork and knowledge sharing.• Train and gain buy-in from employees on policies and procedures by informal, formal, and collaborative communications.• Foster good customer relations by responding to customer's Quality inquiries, soliciting customer feedback, and relaying customer expectations to the plants.
