For nearly 30 years, I have been striving to create the world I want to live in -- one in which gender equity is a reality, and men's violence is only a memory. Whether helping male students in high school or college to create their own understandings of what it means to be a man, supporting prevention educators in developing and evaluating their programming, or working with communities to decide how to move from vision to action in ending violence, I focus on aspirational and positive efforts that affirm the role that each of us can play.My consulting projects have included interim executive leadership, program planning, training, financial management, and evaluation services for multiple nonprofit and public organizations across the country. I have worked with clients whose missions focus on youth mentoring, public education, adult education and workforce development, housing and homelessness, violence prevention, and crisis intervention. For more than ten years, I served as co-founder and Executive Director of an international violence prevention organization that grew from an all-volunteer effort to a $1 million budget and 8 staff. My two decades as a nonprofit sector executive director, interim executive director, manager, board member, and volunteer help me see clients' questions from multiple perspectives.I love to help people see new possibilities, to make program planning and evaluation easier and more effective, and to celebrate the small and large victories while learning from our struggles.
