As part of my role working for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution in a management position for 15 years. My objectives set by the Institution support the RNLI’s Business Plan by supporting the four value streams of the RNLI, Lifeboats, Lifeguards, Flood Rescue & Coastal Safety.I liaised with key stakeholders such as, Lifeguards, Ops Training, Technical Authors & Senior Managers. I also successfully supported the roll out of objectives in accordance to the level 5 restructure. I led a variety of significant projects such as Competency Based Training RWC (Lifeboats), Daughter Craft COBT framework & SOP’s, Lifeboat Command Manual, Manuals review (all) Driver & Blue Light Training, LAT Training Guidance Review, Assessor Verifier Process & Structure review. I helped produce COBT for lifeguards & produced the competencies for Powered WatercraftAs and when required I was responsible to coordinate control measures & guidance for accidents / incidents in support of the safety of our Lifeboat Crew by producing timely guidance & training resources which requires liaising with internal stakeholders. • Create & implement specific H&S training for shore crew• Revise content of shore crew manual to highlight specific risks of lines under load & whipping• Improve regional management of assessment & verification• Review recovery decision making processes & incorporate guidance into relevant manuals & trainingIn my secondment role as Lifeguard Manager (Training & Development) I produced the Trainer / Assessor Workbooks & developed new Trainer / Assessor Programs & courses. I was directly responsible to lead the new training systems & also deliver training, assessing & verification to include the roll out of updates for all Powered Watercraft nationally.In my supporting role, I took the lead in seeing the completion of Flood Rescue Boat Modification process & liaising with key stakeholders which are, Flood Rescue, Lifeboat Operations, Technical, Transport, ILC, LMC.
