Patrick is a U.S. attorney practicing primarily in the areas of business and corporate law, contracts, and trusts and estate planning. He also advises domestic and foreign businesses and not-for-profit organizations regarding various international business matters--including the formation, registration, and restructuring of multinational and foreign not-for-profit entities; corporate, employment, and tax compliance and reporting for not-for-profit organizations; international real estate acquisitions and construction projects; international employment issues and litigation; government relations; and legal implementation of new global, regional, and local initiatives aspects of international trade and business--with particular experience in Latin America.Before opening his own office in 2016, Patrick spent 15 years with law firms in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mesa, Arizona. From 2008-2011, he also served as Area Legal Counsel for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, managing all of the church's legal work in the Caribbean region.Patrick graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where he served as a lead note and comment editor for the BYU Law Review. Prior to attending law school, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Brigham Young University, and a Master of Arts Degree in Latin American Studies from San Diego State University.Patrick is a member of Wealth Counsel, a national organization of business and estate planning attorneys. He also is a Senior Fellow with the International Center for Law and Religion Studies at Brigham Young University.
