As the President & CEO of Visit Buffalo Niagara, I oversee three tourism organizations: the destination marketing and management organization, the convention center, and the sports commission. I report to a 21-member board of directors and manage a workforce of over 150 employees and a combined budget of nearly $12 million. The Buffalo Niagara region is experiencing a tourism renaissance with over $2 billion currently invested in new tourism infrastructure, including over 2,000 in new hotel accommodations, as well as waterfront and attraction development.

    Led and directed the destination marketing and promotion for Loudoun County, the wealthiest and fastest-growing county in the United States, through an aggressive annual business plan with 59 quantifiable measurables and a $2.9 million budget. Oversaw a staff of 18 full-time and part-time employees in the tourism marketing/sales areas of leisure, meetings/conferences, sports and domestic and international tour and travel. Loudoun County boasts nearly 5,700 hotel rooms, over 40 wineries, and tasting rooms. Managed a 23-member board of directors and seven standing committees. Was responsible for the management and designation of county-funded $1 million marketing leverage grant program. Charged with creating a county-wide wine and food festival to raise awareness of destination brand as DC’s Wine Country. In 2011, Visit Loudoun premiered a nine-episode web series, “Get Lost In Loudoun,” which has won both AAF-Addy and Telly awards and US Travel Destiny and HSMAI Adrian awards.
