Graduate Level Intern responsible for supporting the development team in their efforts to deliver exciting new projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. AvalonBay is the second largest Multifamily REIT in the United States, with approximately $24.6 billion in assets (Multifamily Executive, November 2013). Responsibilities include: demographic research, understanding zoning, studying rent comps, assisting with FF&E Purchases, etc...

Worked within a dynamic team implementing sales and marketing strategies to increase sales/leasing at select developments. Projects included corporate and property identities, websites, direct mail, media purchases, newsletters, brochures, monthly/quarterly reports, signage, sales collateral, and public relations. Met aggressive deadlines while maintaining frequent communications with and status reports to senior management. Planned, coordinated, and managed new project launch events, which involved managing the vendors, staff, and press for the associated celebrations. Created new project investment summary packets for projects that were in need of construction, mezzanine, and equity financing.

Managed the marketing efforts for 15+ single- and multi-family developments. Worked closely with project managers and onsite sales team to create broker outreach programs. Developed and maintained marketing campaigns, including online and offline media planning and purchasing. Tracked and analyzed campaign results to ensure ROI.

Worked with Director of Marketing to ensure that project goals and commitments were being achieved. Assisted in creating new client outreach program, which included personal letters and phone calls. Met with and assisted in selecting strategic partners for product marketing. Researched the demand for products being offered by clients and competitors to identify potential markets.
