About Patrick N. Klösel

Currently, I primarily work on causal inference and green industrial policy. My main interest lies in improving policy making by using rigorous methods. This includes work on on causal inference methods in econometrics (especially causal graphs, machine learning and policy evaluation), backed up by philosophy of science (especially causality and methodology of the social sciences) and applied to climate economics (especially carbon pricing, innovation, labor markets, and green industrial policy). In any case, I'm always eager to learn from other sciences, scientists and practitioners.
