Bring on the next challenge.Having recently completed my master's, one of my greatest personal achievements, whilst leading a department of 75 people. I've put it all aside to support the transition of my wife in two young girls with our relocation to Australia. It is also a time to take stock of what is important to me. I'm passionate about Operations and People along with their underlying constituents which bind organisations together. It is this interdependency which brings life to products and services and ensures that there is consistency and foundations on which to innovate, scale and react to market changes. I have been part of small (start-up), medium and large businesses, in each of these two themes stands out as critical success factors, People and Process. People are the lifeblood of the organisation, their contribution, development and wellbeing are fundamental to establishing a productive, innovative and caring culture.     I led and managed a key operational area of the organization which was responsible for the Maintenance, Repair and Configuration of a multi‑branded Point‑of‑Sale (POS) hardware estate (>250,000 devices) comprised of Linux and Android PEDs payment hardware. Critical to the role was managing the tension between resource availability, SLA and customer requirements in the backdrop of a pandemic and global shortage of semiconductors.As Head of Production, it was essential to understand the upstream and downstream drivers within the supply and value chain while maintaining a product lifecycle view from a Regulatory (PCI), Manufacturer and Customer perspective. Incumbent within this function was financial prudence and quality management which had to be balanced against the 4 R's (Repair, Reuse, Reduce and Recycle) program to counteract planned obsolescence and limit harmful waste.- Key activities of my role include strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Coordinating department activities and managing performance against the Balanced Scorecard.- I was responsible for managing a P&L while driving the company transformation agenda through procurement of preferential supplier relationships offering cost, quality, and developmental benefits.- I am responsible for the activities of the Key Injection Facility(KIF) which injects POScryptographic keys into all new and refurbished credit card payment terminals.- Key projects undertaken during my tenure included the development of an inventory management system for spares growth of >100% p.a to provide data to track consumption, perform trend analysis, and shrink identification. Second, running an RFID pilot for asset tracking and process optimization.The role required a collaborative approach across Senior and Executive levels to gain support for new initiatives, advise on prevailing risks, manage COVID impacts and place our people agenda at the forefront of the company's growth trajectory.

    The role is not the typical KAM role as it requires high attention to detail, a data orientated /technical mindset and a penchant for relationships (ego) management. The KAM role is the linchpin between the client and the organisation. Key activities included being the interface between Contact Centre, Software Development, Testing and Operational teams to ensure banking applications and payment software were developed and tested against the business requirement specifications. Change control was inherent within the role to ensure a coordinated roll‑out plan of software updates throughout internal and external environments. As a KAM I often engaged with the bank and 3rd party vendors in product development workshops to scope out new products and software features to be embedded within the Banking application software such as an integrated fuel, QR code payment and PYC (Pay with Your Currency).I was the first point of escalation to resolve customer challenges and coordinate and mobile internal teams into action. Further to perform and supply an RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to the customer.I prepared documentation for RFP / Tender applications and screened addendums to and new contracts for alignment to support and operational processes. I hosted or facilitated monthly and quarterly operational reviews with varying levels of management (customer and internal).
