As part of the Investigation and Review Team, I conducted external reviews of information access applications and privacy internal reviews to ensure agency decisions were consistent with IPC administered legislation.

As Lawyer I advised internal and external stakeholders on the excise of Commercial Passenger Vehicle Victoria’s statutory powers. I also provided timely and strategic written and oral legal advice to internal stakeholders in corporate and administrative law matters.

In this role I was responsible for assessing complex driver accreditation applications and administered the disciplinary function for participants in Victoria's commercial passenger vehicle industry.

I resolved complex telecommunications complaints through alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation, negotiation, conciliation and investigation.

In this role I was responsible for assessing incoming consumer complaints regarding the telecommunications industry. In doing so, I confidently explained the role and jurisdiction of the Ombudsman to external stakeholders and referred parties to other agencies where appropriate.

As part of my Practical Legal Training, I worked closely with senior lawyers in the areas of family law, administrative law and wills and estate. I provided high level administrative support by conducting legal research, drafting documents and filing documents in court.
