The Veteran Experience Services (VES) Portfolio supports VA in improving Customer Experience (CX) as Veterans, family members, and caregivers navigate the journey from military service through the spectrum of VA services. Veterans often have a fragmented and inconsistent experience when interacting with VA’s contact centers or digital content.Through the transformative initiatives within VES, VA is committed to creating an interactiveexperience with the Veteran that is consistent, easy, intuitive, and personalized. This includes modernizing its digital tools to create an online experience on par with the private sector as well asconsolidating, integrating, and sharing data.

Responsible for developing new Static Analysis capabilities based on ML, specifically Large Language Models such as ChatGPT, and providing entirely new approaches to existing problems. In addition, this role designed, deployed, and maintained advanced analytic data products such as machine learning pipelines, data applications, and model endpoints. Static Analysis is a powerful tool for protecting software assets from security exploits and reliability failures. Merging Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) and Software Development practices to radically transform how we approach managing machine learning-enabled systems, including changing the effectiveness and impact of Static Analysis and, therefore, the quality of the Windows OS and Azure services.

Manage a team of 12 talented software engineers within the Engineering Systems organization. My primary responsibility, as the service owner for the Continuous Integration (CI) services for Windows OS platform, is to ensure the reliability & integrity of the largest codebase in the world. In addition, I am responsible for maintaining a “Live Site" culture, building a high functioning team, providing leadership, and technical direction including but not limited to: architectural design, software development, automated testing, and governance. Frequently engage and collaborate with multiple teams across the Engineering Systmes organization.

My primary responsibility is to ensure that the respective business, solution, data and technology perspectives are in line with GE Power Digital’s technology and governance strategies, policies and standards. Lead, consult and/or oversee multiple architectural engagements including the development of a single holistic enterprise architecture model from all architecture perspectives. I own all the architecture across the entire enterprise such as; applications, cloud, data analytics, infrastructure, and automation. Also responsible for the design of the Data Lake, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data sourcing/integration/consumption in advanced analytics, machine learning, data management, data archiving, storage and access.Other responsibilities include but not limited to:• Establish Data Architecture and Data Transformation Roadmap.• Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development• Monitor and control costs to serve across the organization• Grow the business by working closely with the sales and account organizations to identify, qualify, and pursue growth.• Provide thought leadership and direct white paper development, web content, conferences, and customer engagements. • Mentoring others throughout the organization.

Accountable for providing technical direction for two major products offered through GE Power Digital; (1) Operations Performance Management, and (2) Asset Performance Management. Primary responsibility includes designing a distributive analytics platform for diagnostic and performance optimization of both industrial operations & assets; using Amazon EMR, and Machine Learning (ML) techniques. I help define the ML/Analytic roadmaps and then own the modeling, execution, and deployment of those artifacts. Key activities consist of optimizing existing and new business processes with the use of Machine Learning and data analysis, guiding and approving the appropriate technology to fit the requirements, and building a quick prototype or pilot to support the hypothesis. In addition, I participate in enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development; and lead & coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction.

Software Architect for the Product Co-Development, Contribution, & Extension (PCCE) team. I am responsible for leading technical engagements with GE Business Units to drive successful outcomes for Asset Performance Management (APM) Open Source development. This includes but not limited to; providing technical guides, defining standards, refining software engineering practices, coaching, evangelizing, software design & development.In addition I also perform the role of Software Engineering Lead for the APM Widgets & Dashboard team. I am tasked with providing the vision, and the execution of said vision to (1) improve the overall customer experience in developing, testing, deploying, and maintenance of custom UI widgets; and (2) designing/developing APIs, tools, and applications to further align APM Widgets with the current and future product strategies.

Working on the Next Generation Payroll implementation which includes a modern technology stack and a Domain Specific Language (DSL) for payroll practitioners. Responsible for development and quality for the DSL, engine, runtime, and editors. Implemented customized automation architectures using various frameworks such as TestNG and Cucumber.

Responsible for participating in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in the development of a cloud based web services platform. The platform supports 200+ new Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) with 500+ endpoints. I lead multiple software projects and also the automated testing infrastructure. I Work with various development and QA teams in order to architect and design enterprise level development tools, while also implementing the critical components. Most tools are full end-to-end enterprise applications; completed using Agile/Scrum methodology and Java & Web technologies. In addition to application development, also responsible for overseeing the development of test automation for all data services company wide. Other responsibilities include creating development standards, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers, researching emerging technologies, and writing automated tests when needed.

Primary responsibilities include partnering with various business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and system designs. Invent novel solutions to challenging technical problems. Analyze and decompose existing software systems and design appropriate strategies recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with other members of the Core Technologies Services team and development management, to evaluate solutions and gain consensus on technical solutions. Work with technology teams to prototype and prove the viability of solutions, and facilitate planning for implementation of solutions. Provide leadership and expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practices. Also expected to research, design, test, and evaluate new technologies, platforms and third party products.

Responsible for design development migration and maintenance of Java based applications;Develops technical solutions based upon detailed requirements analysis and feedback from stakeholders. Provides detailed architecture and design documentation and produce required project artifacts. Participated in the full SDLC including delivering well commented code with appropriate unit tests. Worked on multiple projects as assigned in support business priorities an objectives.

Work within engineering team, using Agile Software Development Methodologies, delivering highly complex Smart Grid software products using Java technologies. Involved in three successful releases of the Demand Response Management System for electric companies. Participated in the full Software Development Lifecycle including: user story planning & estimation, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Helped QA team create a Java based automation framework using JUnit with continuous integration, to reduce regression cycles. I was also responsible for mentoring junior members of the team, and leading a small team of contractors.

Lead a small team to migrate the Customer Configuration Software (CCS) for Multi-Function Printers (MFP). Worked with Human Factors, who designed the front-end, to update the legacy software to a Java technology stack. I supervised two full-time employees to deliver the project on time with full user documentation.

Worked within a rapid prototyping team to perform a variety of proof of concepts to determine viability of an approach on different platforms such as Window CE and Java ME. Prototyped solutions were for Multi-Function Printers (MFP). I was tasked with implementing solutions with Java Micro Edition, and performing benchmark testing. I was responsible for facilitating demonstrations of the solution while presenting findings. In addition I was responsible for further decomposing any additional requirements for candidate solutions.

Responsible for developing the embedded web server functionality for Multi-Function Printers (MFP). The feature required communication with the underlying OS to provide system configuration, state, and printer operation.

Mainly responsible for maintaining a numbers of software components through Continued Product Engineering (CPE) on a Unix platform which included: bug fixes, feature enhancements, and integration testing. The majority of the projects were in C, with occasionally some Java. I also developed and maintained internal web sites for the development team.
