I work closely with my schools and charities clients; seeking to understand their IT needs such that I can bring them solutions that are suitable for them; and not adopting the traditional IT approach. I enjoying working closely with my clients showing them what is available to them that will save them money and time.My family heritage was very much in sales and having worked for the toughest boss (my father) as a teenager I convinced him to let me take up a sales role and never looked back. I got a real buzz from sales but actually found my forte in managing clients’ expectations. Moving away from the family ties I eventually found myself in an account management role at ADM Computing in 2005. The company has taken great strides forwards since then with over 80 staff, three quarters of which are technical. I am now a senior account manager and am heading up an account management team that works closely with schools and charities.This approach has allowed me a better understanding of these industries and how they operate. It means we can be innovative in finding existing technology solutions and moulding them to resolve my clients operational and business issues. These are exciting times in the IT industry and the flexibility that is now on offer makes it easier to embrace my clients’ needs.
