In my role as Head of Information Technology with DermTech, I am responsible for creating and delivering presentations to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee on cyber security and information technology. My duty is to lead and mentor a team of four project managers as part of the Program Management Office. I also manage licenses and storage costs across the organization, while overseeing operational and capital costs.Below are my Key Contributions to this role:• Defined all information technology general controls for Sarbanes Oxley.• Hired and onboarded internal resources and removed all external consultants.• Performed tabletop exercise for incident response plan, in case of security incident.• Developed and delivered most of the policies and procedures pertaining to information technology and security • Released additional products by liaising with Manufacturing, R&D, Commercial, Marketing, and G&A departments.• Spearheaded cyber security posture across the organization, including Payment Card Industry, HIPAA/Hi-tech, Sarbanes Oxley, and Risk and Threat Management in compliance with the NIST security framework.

In my role as Head of Information Technology with Poseida Therapeutics, I delivered strategic insights and provided leadership for the IT department. I was assigned to manage all of Poseida’s technology needs within stringent budgetary constraints. My duty was to direct the planning and implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives. I also developed and nurtured mutually beneficial relationships with CROs, managing clinical trials.Below were my Key Contributions to these roles:• Facilitated the launch of a new validated manufacturing facility.• Drove corporate and departmental goals in line with company initiatives and objectives.• Introduced GxP devices and applications for internal manufacturing facilities, ensuring seamless IT workflows.• Implemented new and innovative solutions to ensure the security of Poseida’s data, while gaining and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of security best practices.• Delivered services as data privacy IT leader, administering all clinical trials.

In my role as Head of Information Technology with Organovo, Inc., I was assigned to lead, train, and mentor a cross-functional team of 14 associates, including business analysts, solutions architects, infrastructure administrators, project managers, and help desk resources. I also conducted a security assessment in line with the best practices of SANS20.Below were my key contributions to this role:• Built “quote to cash” for the e-commerce division by utilizing the Salesforce application.• Introduced new storage and backup applications, Pure Storage and Commvault.• Spearheaded migration from on-premises applications to a cloud-based environment.• Slashed IT spending by 46% by effectively streamlining IT resources and applications.• Directed and implemented systems/service rollouts, such as Great Plains, integrated time tracking and finance system, and stabilized LIMS system.• Enhanced internal controls via disciplined process development, including project management, SDLC, prioritization framework, application library, and skill set matrix.

In my role as Vice President of Technology with DJO Global Inc., I was hired to manage and mentor a team of 51 full-time resources across several locations aimed at supporting production portfolio and future enhancements. My duty was to train and coach legacy staff on Agile development. I was assigned to supervise cloud-based solutions and reports to support the sales team with tablet reporting. I also spearheaded budgets for Capital and Non-Capital projects.Below were my key contributions to this role:• Introduced a new ticketing system, Service Now, to follow best ITIL practices.• Led implementation of a new data warehouse in Europe to support data privacy for GDPR.• Ensured real-time issue resolution on priority 1 outages by creating an application support plan/team.• Supported Software Life Cycle Management, Steering Committee reviews, Prioritization, Applications Road Map, and upgrade strategies by bringing processes and procedures to DJO.
