SOCIAL MEDIA: I brought the Ottawa International Children's Festival Social Media into the public eye by establishing relationships with major media outlets, mommy blogs and other demographic specific online entities. Member of the 2012 Ottawa Jazz Festival social media team, engaging target demographic via twitter and facebook.WRITING: I wrote copy for the program booklet, web postings, dialogue for radio and television commercials, advertorials for print publications, content for advertisements, program summaries and follow up for reporting.MEDIA MARKETING: using precious resources engaged various mass media outlets in partnering to reach a broad audience. Appeared live on television and radio to promote the 2012 Ottawa International children's festival. Booked Performers from the 2012 Jazz Festival into mass media appearances and facilitated their appearance on the day of. MEDIA TRACKING: Tracking media exposure for both festivals, clipping print ads and articles, using online resources to track local, national and international media mentions, organizing and archiving media exposure.
