I worked for this startup from the beginning to realise their website offering. I worked collaboratively with a designer colleague to discover the clients requirements and build a website. We chose Storyblok as a headless CMS that their editorial team could use to write article content. I built the backend API using Laravel, and the frontend using Vue.js. I set up a serverless infrastructure using Laravel Vapor. Deployment of the frontend is through Buddy. This was a time critical build, we launched successfully and on time. I continue to work with the team to update and maintain the website.

My task at SimpleStream was to lead the rebuild of a legacy API in a new modern framework. I re-architected the existing Database and used migration scripts and triggers to populate the new relational database, while keeping the old one intact for the legacy system. Journey to Self are an organisation based in Berwick-upon-Tweed, North Northumberland, offering courses in first aid, and outdoor learning for schools and youth groups. I ran this project on a low budget and to a tight time schedule. The site includes a bespoke content management system to provide easy updates to all course information and profile details.
