• Per appointment by the New Mexico Commissioner of Public Lands, oversaw the two divisions of the New Mexico State Land Office responsible for managing all hydrocarbon, mining and geothermal energy activity on 13 million acres of NM State Trust Lands' mineral estate and the collection of royalty and other revenues generated thereon. Responsibilities included oversight of lease initiation, lease management, permitting, revenue collection, auditing and budgeting, as well as periodic reporting to the State Land Trust Advisory Board and other stakeholders. FY15/FY16 revenues from the divisions totaled over $1.16 billion, or 95% of total revenue for the New Mexico State Land Office.• Developed and implemented agency and legislative policy relating to protecting and promoting the interests of the State Land Office and State Land Trust Beneficiaries at both federal and state levels.• Acted as Commissioner Aubrey Dunn's designee to the Oil Conservation Commission, a three member panel responsible for setting major energy-related policies for New Mexico.
