I understand how to view a claim from both sides and in doing so work towards a speedy and cost-effective resolution.I have extensive experience in professional indemnity, general liability and casualty claims and providing advice to insurers with respect to professional indemnity and general liability policies. I also act for life insurers providing advice on policy coverage, and defending claims made under group policies issued to superannuation funds.I have experience acting for insurers of a broad range of professionals, as both coverage and defence counsel, including barristers, allied health practitioners, engineers, insurance and mortgage brokers and accountants defending both claims for damages as well as investigations or disciplinary proceedings by the applicable regulation agencies.I have also provided advice to insurers with respect to a number of first and third-party cyber-crime and employee fraud claims (including recovery proceedings).I act for both local and international insurers, including Lloyd's syndicates.I was listed in the Best Lawyers awards in the inaugural Ones to Watch category for Alternative Dispute Resolution, Insurance Law, Litigation, Personal Injury Litigation and Professional Malpractice Litigation for 2023.
