Worked as a staff Engineer for Environmental Partners Group, Inc. (EPG) in Quincy, MA. During my time at EPG I have worked on many different civil related projects and have enhanced my civil engineering background.The most reputable project I worked on while at EPG was a $48.2 million wastewater force main project in Plymouth, MA. The Town of Plymouth experienced three separate catastrophic force main failures. The scope of the project included construction administration for the installation of a temporary force main bypass pipe, the design and construction of wastewater force main repairs, and the design and construction of a standby wastewater force main for future use. While on the project team I worked on all phases of the wastewater force main design and construction, including preparing contract design plans and specifications, preliminary quantity takeoffs and cost estimation, contractor submittal reviews, preparing pay requisitions and change orders, and drafting record drawingsHighlights from other projects I have worked on at EPG include:- Used AutoCAD and ArcGIS to create existing conditions plans and design drawings for wastewater and drainage projects- Prepared bid documents including project specifications for wastewater and drainage projects- Performed construction oversight for wastewater and drainage projects- Drafted and submitted permit applications to local and state agencies- Coordinated workload for two co-op interns

During the fall of 2014 I returned to Amory Engineers, P.C. as a Junior Engineering Co-op. In my second co-op with Amory Engineers I adopted a larger role within the company and utilized the skills I developed from my previous co-op to enhance my project deliverables. During this co-op I worked with computer applications such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley WaterCAD daily and developed a proficiency with each application upon completion of my internship.Highlights from my second co-op at Amory Engineers, P.C. include:- Performed a complete hydraulic analysis for a new water storage tank- Performed project management for all phases of a water main replacement project- Designed five water main replacement projects including preparation of contract drawings- Designed contract drawings for water service renewals in a state right-of-way- Provided technical assistance for 4-log treatment of a water supply source- Performed construction oversight for sewer main, water main, drainage and pavement installation

In my first co-op with Amory Engineers I got my first exposure to many civil projects including subdivision and land development projects, water main replacement projects and water treatment projects. While working on these projects, I familiarized myself with civil related computer applications such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley WaterCAD.Highlights from my first co-op at Amory Engineers, P.C. include:- Performed a hydraulic analysis for the rehabilitation of a water storage tank- Designed an interior tank circulation system for a 2.1 million gallon water storage tank- Provided technical assistance for CT DPH SRF water main and water booster pumping station construction reimbursement- Initiated development of a Modified Environmental Management System (EMS) for water supply and treatment for a municipality- Prepared contract specifications for various water resource projects

During the fall of 2012 I accepted my first co-op offer with Eversource (at the time NSTAR Electric & Gas) in Westwood, MA as an Environmental Tech Co-op. In my first co-op I got my first exposure to the professional environment, albeit not directly related to civil projects. While working for the Environmental Affairs department I familiarized myself with computer applications such as ArcGIS.Highlights from my co-op at Eversource include:- Assisted the permitting process for construction projects- Created mapping to assess the environmental impacts required for state and local permits- Attended on-site construction meetings representing Environmental Affairs- Served as Environmental Monitor to oversee environmental impacts in work areas- Served as point person for NSTAR with town governments on projects- Served in a Storm Duty role during Hurricane Sandy.
