Over 25 years of practical experience of public health delivery within local, state, federal and international agencies; conducted numerous field-based research studies, outbreak investigations and population-based surveillance surveys (Total cumulative budget managed: >$25 million); extensive international experience focusing on tuberculosis prevention and care in numerous high-burden countries. As an accomplished author, I have published more than 120 peer-reviewed scientific publications and more than 100 abstracts, conference proceedings, MMWR, consensus/guideline documents and book chapters. I am a mentor to dozens of future public health professionals in the United States and abroad.
