The mission of Kärcher New Venture is to find the hidden champions in the global start-up ecosystem to create a cleaner future together.During my time we focused on three verticals:1 | Venture Partnerships - We facilitate partnerships with over 25 innovative start-ups to improve our internal processes and enrich our products2 | Venture Investments - We invested an amount in the mid tens of millions in start-ups and VC funds to explore innovative business models which have the potential to shape the future of cleaning.3 | Venture Developments - We breed innovative ideas and provide an optimal environment to explore new business opportunities within the Kärcher Group.

Within just one year, I led a team that catapulted revenue from under €100,000 to over €1 million.● 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲: To support strategic decision-making and day-to-day operations, I implemented a completely new financial and reporting system that provides a high level of visibility and control.● 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: I negotiated favorable payment terms with national and international suppliers to optimize cash flow. Additionally, I introduced a new order-based production system, boosting OTIF (On-Time In Full) by 30%. This, combined with streamlined sales back-office processes (reducing processing times by up to 40%), significantly enhanced customer satisfaction.

To position EnBW as a leader of the changing energy landscape in Europe, The strategy team and I developed and evaluated alternative strategic options to reinvent Germany’s third biggest energy company – which resulted in the “EnBW 2020” strategy manifesto. To ensure the implementation of the defined actions, I managed the strategy processes of the grid division (33% of EBITDA) across all business units. Together with the senior management, I developed investment opportunities of 5 bn. EUR until 2020 and an 25% increase of the operating profit.

Karlsruhe Area, Germany

During my first two years in the strategy department the german "Energiewende" (complete transition of the national energy system) was initiated. EnBW's business model was at risk, and I and the rest of the corporate strategy team had to reinvent the company over the next few years. As a result, I led a company-wide strategy project that resulted in a significant change in EnBW's business portfolio strategy. I prepared comprehensive competitive and environmental analyses for the Board of Management to support their investment decisions for foreign markets (e.g. Turkey, Czech Republic) and supported the corporate M&A team during strategic due diligence. My hard work was rewarded with a promotion to manager level, even though my colleagues were mostly 5 to 10 years older.

During my time in six different departments (such as corporate strategy, performance measurement, energy trading, marketing, ...) I got great insights into how big cooperation works, how different team cultures affect business results and what my strengths and weaknesses are as a growing business person.
