I'm one of that generation of boomer collectors now looking at a massive pile of valuable (to us) artifacts that run the risk of fading into the realm of faddish oddity. After 10 or so years, 2000 plus relocations of all sizes and to all destinations imaginable, 30 million (give or take!) pounds inventoried, I'm leaving the world of how people SPENT their money. One of the great jobs at a sailing club - head cheerleader and champion for all the 'on water' sailing programmes from Junior to lake level one design regattas. A 'get us the budget and equipment and just make it happen' position.

A promotion of sorts! More administrative and paperwork but sacrificing the best job in any sailing club - Rear Commodore! A crash course in HR, Admin, Project Management, Budgeting, Team Building, Behaviour Management, Event Organization, Public Speaking, NPL MBA in a box! I'll update the skill set upon reflection. Much thanks to all the team members who helped accomplish so much! Now if we can just get KC1 to go faster.

First crack at a non profit board. Worked to rebuild the racing programme, published an annual Events Guide, planned events. Travelled to Gananoque with Commodore Phil to ensure the club's legacy didn't go to Clayton NY. That's how Donald MacDonald's trophies (and the cases to house them) came to be at TH&SC. Organized the Fiftieth anniversary Hydroplane event. Twisted Don's arm (again) for the $20,000. that secured the mark/work boat named after him - Mac 1. Worked with Phil Delahaye, Russ Germaine, Jeff Ante and many other board members to fix and replace stuff - furniture, (including the pool table), flagpole, BBQ area, the long delayed balcony - and still leave money in the bank!
