Over the last 12 months of this role, I have helped Velan evolve the employee experience by instituting a hybrid work model and many other related initiatives with a view of improving engagement.Prior to that, my focus was on establishing and running the Transformation Office PMO during our corporate transformation. Responsible for establishing common procurement governance and processes for all three mega-hospital construction projects while also taking advantage of common demand, synergies, and other opportunities to result in lower acquisition and life-cycle costs while ensuring the quality and schedule objectives are met. The role also involved acting as change leader to influence the various hospital and government decision-makers to endorse embracing an operational excellence approach to the transition to the new locations by ensuring increased efficiency and effectiveness is built into the design.

Led the Procurement Implementation of SAP and integrated outsourced manufacturing

Designed and Implemented a customer-centric procurement organization to better respond to operational requirements and introduced an intuitive problem solving approach to empower employees to make improvements systematically and easily.

Developed a framework to determine the Sourcing Project Pipeline and priority projects, facilitated the change in roles and responsibilities attributed to a company-wide SAP deployment, and successfully mobilized a team of buyers in the new facility at Mirabel.

Responsible for revitalizing the continuous improvement deployment that had reached a maturity plateau. Introduced the concept of self-directed work teams to help increase engagement and productivity of individual contributors and teams, which resulted reduced reliance on full-time black belts that had become an improvement bottleneck.

Acted as a change agent to introduce the concept of global stategic sourcing to the organization. As part of the initial pilot project team, managed projects and contributed to the realization of significant bottom-line savings within months of starting the initiative.
