Worked in the Support Engineering department working on Airframe Equipment and Integration for both MRH90 and ARH tiger platforms.

Work experience engineer at Nova systems working in a team on various projects . Worked in small team (3-4) applying Agile project management processes. Took on various tasks including prior art research, developing system parameters and requirements and reported back to team within agreed timeframes. Assisted team meet project goals which included development of simple protypes, which proved proof of concept, accompanied by written document listing initial research and system parameters and requirements. Verbal presentations also delivered to key stakeholders which summarized project outcomes and lessons learned.

Assigned project was to develop a predictive maintenance program for machinery in the vehicle assembly line specifically what sensors could be used to monitor the health of equipment. The aim being to constantly monitor machine health and provide warning of impending failure so maintenance can be carried out just in time. This saves costs by reducing machine down time, ensuring production continues uninterrupted and saves on unnecessary maintenance. Researched options, engaged with maintenance staff to identify issues with proposal, modified accordingly, and provided written report with recommendations to VDL as to potential solution including costings and suppliers of necessary equipment.
