- Upstream engineer within the Manufacturing Sciences department responsible for developing and operating 5L and 15mL (ambr15) scale-down models of large-scale cell culture bioreactor processes, investigations and trouble-shooting of manufacturing deviations via small-scale experiment design to identify root cause, assisting in the technology transfers of processes entering our large-scale manufacturing facility, implementation and understanding of advanced process control technologies (e.g. capacitance probes), lab lead for cell culture perfusion technologies, and experienced in cell bank generation. - Recently completed a temperorary work assignment within the Tech Transfer group, successfully leading the upstream cell culture portion of two large-scale process transfers into our GMP manufacturing facility that produced drug substance for clinical trial re-supply by organizing and conducting large cross-functional weekly and ad-hoc meetings, maintaining and updating the process flow diagram that detailed the process controls for each unit operation, making real-time processing decisions to ensure product quality and manufacturing success, and communicating process trending updates and data analysis to internal groups and external partners.- Published in the Biotechnology Progress journal for my characterization of cell damage within a rotary lobe pump in a cell culture perfusion process. - Presented at the 2019 American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Meeting in Orlando, Fl on my investigation into capacitance driven process variation in large-scale manufacturing, as well as my characterization of cell culture damage via a rotary lobe pump in a large-scale N-1 seed perfusion process.
