Served as the Lyric@illinois Opera Department Technical Director as my assistantship while at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Duties include:-Overseeing orchestra set up for up to 3 productions a year-Coordinating with the Maestro of each show to determine the best placement of all instruments in the orchestra pit-Communicating finalized orchestra set up with Maestro and members of the audio department-Leading a union IA crew for the installation and strike of our pit cover and implementation of the orchestra seating chart -Attending Sitzprobes and troubleshooting any problems in the orchestra pit-Ensuring proper safety and use of two spiral stage lifts.

During the summer of 2019, I returned to my role as Assistant Technical Director for the Berkshire Theatre Group in Stockbridge, Ma. My job duties included budgeting shows, engineering, producing shop drawings, managing the shop, leading work calls, load-ins, and strikes for our 9 shows in three spaces per season with budgets from $1,000 to $6,000. Shop staff included master carpenters, staff carpenters, carpentry interns, general technician interns, and acting apprentices. Worked independently and collaboratively with the Technical Director. As well as coordinating with department heads from Paints, Props, Lighting, and Sound during build and installations.

I spent from summer 2016 till spring 2018 working as the staff carpenter and assistant project manager for a small commercial scene shop in Clinton, MA. BeNT Productions built scenery for smaller regional theaters and colleges in the Greater Boston area and other New England companies. Duties included fabricating both wood and steel-based scenery, packing and organizing trucks, leading installs and strikes, assisting with estimating potential projects, purchasing materials, driving 26' box trucks into Boston, and maintenance of tool and shop facilities.

Duties included leading daily shop build, packing, and driving box trucks, assisting the Technical Director in budgeting and engineering scenery. As well and having total control over shop and tool organizations and maintenance.

Spent the summer of 2014 as the technical director for the Barnstormers Theatre in Tamworth, New Hampshire. Having spent the previous two summers working my way up in the organization from Carpenter to Master Carpenter, it was time for me to step into the Technical Director's role. My staff consisted of 3 carpenters and 1 general technician intern. I also worked closely with department heads from Props, Lighting, Paints, Sound, Stage Management, and Box office. My duties as Technical Director included Duties construction and transportation of scenery, working show crew for tech and run of shows, budgeting, engineering, and shop drawings production. The Barnstormers produced 8 shows in 8 weeks with budgets of $900-$1,500, with less than 72 hours between closing and opening each show.
