Association Television was a startup built on the premise of providing highly scalable OTT vertical online video "channels" to trade associations -- taking existing editorial content in declining readership association trade publications, and re-tasking it into a broadband trade-association news channel format. The company was disbanded after funding fell through.Designed technology and operations plans, corporate development, business plans, business model, technology architecture, facilities planning and overall technology and infrastructure planning.

Recruited by founder after CTO left 90 days prior to launch to save the company. Engineered the wireless remote on-animal camera and microphone platform, end-to-end, including fiber loop, remote hardened receivers, as well as the software, web, headend, etc., on time and under budget. Engineered 1st of its kind technology in difficult remote protected habitat. Deployed the entire platform, end-to-end, including software, hardware infrastructure, etc., on time and under budget in 90 days. Live Linear OTT & VOD, that included an ad network and 50+ portals. This was a 1st in the world system — never done before. The technology put the viewer in the deer’s perspective, seeing and hearing what the deer experienced, in real time and on demand. Deer Channel used a patented wireless camera and microphone system, designed for extended operation in a controlled, protected habitat. The project involved custom, hardened, very low power wireless camera systems physically mounted on the animals, as well as support wireless and fiber infrastructure, as well as the design and rapid evolution of the broadcast center and broadcast operations and iteration of the website CMS and live, scheduled, and on-demand web video channels.

Recruited by non-technical founder to do a turnaround and relaunch and move from Fort Worth to Dallas. Transitioned the company from a single-partner content portal, to a multiple content partners and expanded distribution. Managed technical infrastructure redesign, downsizing and migration for a company business-model pivot. Responsible for the overall technology direction of this ringtone company’s presence on the Internet. Company shuttered after unrelated angel investor problems.

During the broadcast.com years, used the company to publish the first audiobooks on the Internet (as episodic podcasts). After broadcast.com, I pioneered serialized full-cast audio dramas, live author interview webcasts, a proprietary social media and a user-generated content network. Was the first publish an audio book online, MP3 CD, and what later became known as podcasts. Responsible for corporate & product design, development, and marcom.
