I worked daily between positions from the Project Managers to Presidents of the company to problem solve and maximize the capacity of the company’s resources in order to receive the highest value for each dollar spent as it relates to production, supporting the company’s values, direction, and growth. I was able to reduce the company’s project budget variance by 50% for two consecutive years. I developed a system for maintaining all information relating to cost and worked proactively to predict final total project costs. I worked directly with trade partners to understand implications of cost and timeline changes as market and supply conditions evolved. I managed the bidding and cost analysis processes to ensure projections were complete. I also developed a KPI based reporting system in order to help align the company’s profitability efforts.

As Project Manager I was responsible for the quoting, purchasing, logistics, installation, and system management of SONIC Tools’ flagship storage system, the MSS+ product line. It was my responsibility to create, organize, and maintain all documentation, including sales estimates, product renderings, product cost, technical data, timeline information, inventory impact, purchasing, and customer information. I oversaw all business details and documentation of each project from the initial quote to presenting the installed product to the customer for final sign-off. We were able to double revenue two years consecutively, while improving profit margins to meet corporate targets. I was responsible for maintaining all business processes related to the MSS+ product line. I developed an invoicing tracking system as well as managing financials between a complex international supply chain network. I directly managed local MSS+ warehousing operations and the onsite installation projects of widely varying scopes across North America.

I worked with the Marketing and Sales teams at Sonic Tools to create a time study to determine product efficiency with the aim of identifying the efficiency impact of Sonic’s Foam System. I designed the time study to capture the time impact of identifying specific tools, removing them from storage, returning them, and accurately performing inventory of the tools at the end of the exercise. I presented a results analysis organized in a complete white paper report of the study to inform and support the marketing campaign.

In the Quality Control Sub-Division, I worked on pre- and post-launch activities to improve new model design quality. My group worked as the liaison between the Manufacturing and Quality groups in Alabama and the Design Center in South Korea. We worked from pre-prototype development through launch for new models and model year changes. I led cross-functional improvement teams to identify and countermeasure pre- and post-launch manufacturing and quality issues. I was also heavily involved in benchmarking activities, part investigations, and vehicle performance evaluation and comparison.

My main roles in Body Quality Improvement were to work with local and overseas suppliers to resolve part related quality issues, analyze CMM data to identify and make improvements, and work with Production to resolve any related issues identified. I traveled to suppliers to investigate individual part issues, perform Special Process Audits, and help coordinate implementation of Engineering Changes.

I was responsible for productivity and quality of Front End Module and Injection Molding Departments. As supervisor of the FEM Department, I was specifically responsible for managing the delivery of a just in sequence product which includes responsibility for coordinating engineering changes to the assembly process for improved productivity and reliability. Root-cause analysis for failures in the assembly, rework, and scrap disposition processes were part of my daily responsibilities. Additionally, I was responsible for ensuring the Team Leaders effectively handle personnel issues.As Supervisor of the Injection Molding Department, I was responsible for monitoring productivity and quality for the part molding processes. The Injection Molding Department provided molded and assembled parts to the final and sub-assembly processes in the facility. Also, it was my responsibility to ensure production is scheduled to meet the requirements of the down-stream processes.

I worked under the general supervision of the Director of Industrial Engineering. I was responsible for Industrial Engineering support for the Alabama Reclamation Operations, Alloys Casting, and Alloys Hot Rolling Departments. I was active in reviewing the input material and monitoring the reporting of input data for each of the products. I also monitored maintenance, and indirect expenses. I was responsible for leading cost reduction teams in each of the areas I supported. I worked closely with Accounting, Purchasing, Management, and other Engineering support to reduce scrap and expenses.

I worked under the general supervision of the Assembly General Foreman. My responsibilities included meeting production goals, controlling scrap levels, effectively handling personnel issues within the department, and making sure the 6s items within the department are maintained. I was also responsible for investigating and implementing improvements to the production lines. Part of my responsibilities as supervisor included weekly Kaizen efforts, active participation in specialized teams, and the development and oversight of a specialized team that was designated to reduce departmental scrap for the company’s largest volume product.

I worked under the general supervision of the plant production manager and general manager. I was the direct supervisor of fifteen to twenty five production employees in the assembly or lay-up department. My responsibilities included meeting production goals, overseeing quality and personnel issues within the department. In addition, I had similar responsibilities as supervisor of the trim saw and shipping departments.

I worked under Associate Professor John Evans, PhD to prepare computer boards for testing and wrote some of the necessary programming so that the data from the tests could be correctly saved and usable for analysis.

I worked in the prototype testing and validation department testing the behavior of prototype radio software. I was responsible for learning the customer specifications for the behavior of the software and the extensive testing thereof. I also was responsible for documenting problems with the software and working with the software design department to correct the issues.

At L.I.T., I learned to read schematics and construct experimental electrical circuit boards. I also worked on developing working prototypes for the company's research and development projects
