I am a Chicago Southland resident currently working as a Full Stack Developer in Burr Ridge. I am a lifelong user of Microsoft Windows with Red Hat Linux being my Linux distribution of choice for my servers (though I am well-versed with using Ubuntu as well), and I use Mac OS X for work.The first language I learned was PHP (unless you count my TI-89's TI-BASIC), so it will always have my love and affection. I learned Java in college and have continued using it for my professional career ever since.I learned C# and Python in college, but only really began learning the languages to develop for and maintain my game servers operating on Unity. For C#, I've written game plugins, and for Python I've written a custom Git Merge driver, replaced some of my Bash scripts used for maintenance on my game servers, and coded several Discord bots (which I really need to make public at some time).Aside from running game servers in my spare time, I also manage a gaming community with a population in the thousands, and I would like to transfer that experience to a leadership position in a company someday to utilize my natural leadership abilities.On a more personal note, I am a cat lover, an avid gardener (as a result of the pandemic, funnily enough), and someday I hope to be able to speak German and Japanese. If I weren't a programmer, I would have been a linguist, but I like to joke that I sacrificed my natural language abilities for that of programming.
