The Enterprise Technology Strategy (ETS) organization is part of the Enterprise Technology Office reporting directly to Boeing’s Chief Technology Officer. We serve the entire Enterprise, informing technology investment decisions and making recommendations by employing the full scope and scale of the Boeing Company. We integrate vertically to establish alignment between business strategy and technology strategy, serving as a feedback loop between our business and technical communities to enhance alignment towards achieving business outcomes. ETS is comprised of five technology domain teams that are structured to cover the breadth of Boeing's technology interests related to our products and services. These technology domains leverage Boeing’s top engineering and business leaders to create, reinforce, and inform technology strategy across the company. The Platform Systems & Subsystems domain is focused on platform hardware and software systems and technologies, including flight deck and crew systems; electromagnetic effects; platform energy systems and subsystems; sensing, communication and network systems; electronics and embedded software; and mission and vehicle system architectures.Current responsibilities as the ETS Platform Systems and Subsystems domain integration leader include:• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand technology related challenges and opportunities.• Drive a clear, connected, and consistent approach to the development, communication and execution of the technology strategy.• Create outcome-based enterprise technology roadmaps that enable business outcomes and maximize the value of R&D investments.• Integrate stakeholders to collect market and competitive intelligence, identify external partnership opportunities, support make-buy decision analysis and inform technology investment decisions.• Communicate strategic priorities and technology strategy across the enterprise.

- Leader of strategic Mission Systems & Autonomy technology portion of the $5.6M annual research portfolio with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) in Australia - Active member of the Boeing / CSIRO executive steering committee, responsible for identifying the alignment of CSIRO capabilities with Boeing strategic technology research priorities and facilitating the transition of technologies into Boeing business unit products and services- Leveraging CSIRO expertise in relevant technology focus areas, more than doubling the content of strategic research in communications, electronics, cyber security and autonomy within the CSIRO portfolio, significantly increasing external global technology leverage

- Represent Boeing as the Executive Focal to the university, serving as the primary Boeing representative to the university’s leadership team. Responsibilities include overseeing the development and implementation of an annual integrated engagement plan which includes funding support for student scholarships, curriculum development, recruitment, outreach & retention programs and student projects. - Under my leadership, the University of Cambridge research portfolio and relationship is recognized within Boeing as the benchmark for excellence in university relationships. Cambridge leadership has sited the relationship as a premier model for industry engagement.- Responsible for $1M+ annual strategic research portfolio spanning multiple technology focus areas including hybrid-electric propulsion, autonomy, quantum technologies, cyber security, data analytics, computer vision, advanced materials, advanced manufacturing and supply chain management technologies- Developed and implemented a robust portfolio strategy ensuring mutual benefit and strategic alignment with key stakeholders, gaining greater alignment with emerging business strategies and objectives in the UK and Europe- Nurtured strategic relationships with key Cambridge stakeholders including Pro-Vice Chancellors, Heads of Department, Head of Institute for Manufacturing, Director of Research, professors, post docs and graduate student researchers- Portfolio management responsibilities include definition of research objectives, identifying and launching new research topics, tracking and monitoring milestones and deliverables, conducting portfolio reviews, and providing guidance and direction to facilitate technology transition upon project completion- Manage legal obligations, working directly with contract administrators in negotiating master and individual research project agreements, defining intellectual property rights, paving the way for filing of joint invention disclosures and publications.

• Develop and implement cross-divisional work force strategies and career development initiatives for 3500+ engineers aligned to the BDS Mission Systems Capability• BDS Electronics & Electrical Engineering (E&EE) functional skill leader representing 5100+ engineers/managers across the BDS business unit. Responsible for E&EE skills utilization including skill competency assessments, workforce planning and deployment, diversity, recruitment, retention, rotations, promotions, employee development, mentoring, training, and career development. • Provide engineering leadership and drive consistency at the business unit level for Mission Systems capabilities including software and hardware architectures, mission computing, systems engineering and analysis, integration and testing associated with communications, networks, navigation, sensors, apertures, antennas, tactical displays, mission payloads and stores management. • Specify, develop and implement engineering and development excellence strategies and standards associated with Mission Systems capabilities across all seven BDS divisions, including Autonomous Systems, Bomber & Fighters, Missiles & Weapons Systems, Mobility and Surveillance, Space and Launch, Vertical Lift, and Phantom Works.• Ensure Mission Systems success criteria and design standards are incorporated throughout new product life cycle (capture, design, develop, certify, deliver, sustain) and the enterprise standard gated process across BDS development programs

- Strategic leadership in planning, execution and technology transition of broad research portfolio within centralized corporate R&D organization with 550+ employees and $230M+ annual business volume- Diverse research portfolio includes internal R&D (IR&D), contracted R&D (CR&D) and direct business unit support with substantial global research content across multiple international sites including Europe, India, Korea, China, Russia, Brazil and Australia.- Maximize yield on research investments across broad technology and capability focus areas including autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, cyber security, quantum technologies, model-based engineering, communications, networking, sensors, electronics, power, thermal, hybrid-electric propulsion, electromagnetic effects - Responsibilities also include skills management; engineering excellence; technical risk management; technology maturation in alignment with strategic business unit needs, requirements and growth initiatives; and subsequent technology transition and insertion into business unit programs, products and services- Member of the Boeing / Hughes Research Labs (HRL) leadership team chartered to identify and leverage HRL capabilities in support of Boeing research priorities, objectives and roadmaps

- Responsible for annual $40M+ autonomy-related IR&D portfolio investment strategy, planning and execution across multiple domestic and international (Europe, Australia, Brazil) research sites - Developed autonomy strategy focused on the integration of complex technologies and capabilities including artificial intelligence, advanced communications and sensors, cyber security, advanced networks, dynamic navigation and hybrid/electric propulsion- Provided leadership in the shaping, capture and execution of DoD/NASA/FAA autonomy-related CR&D programs - serving as Program Manager of the Defense Advanced Research Programs Agency (DARPA) Assured Autonomy program - Conducted quarterly strategy meetings as member of enterprise-wide senior executive Autonomy Steering Committee to drive high-level strategy informing technology investments across various autonomous systems platforms and programs- Stood up Enterprise Autonomy Technology team to create greater technical awareness and transparency across all enterprise-wide autonomy programs - identified and leveraged technology re-use/commonality for closure of critical autonomy-related capability gaps.

- Increasing responsibility for technology strategy, operations and general management of research organization w/ 350+ employees and $150M+ annual business volume in support of a research portfolio including IR&D, CR&D and direct business unit support funding- Developed an overall technology strategy w/ corresponding portfolio execution plan, including growth strategies - close coordination with technology leaders and executives across Boeing business units to ensure the BR&T technology plan and portfolio provide adequate coverage and alignment to strategic corporate requirements and initiatives - Led engineering functional initiatives to create and maintain a professional environment conducive for engineering staff career advancement and technical excellence- Developed approaches to effectively track and manage technical risk across the research portfolio- Defined and implemented an external technology sourcing strategy, partnering with strategic domestic and international suppliers and universities to increase external leverage. - Lead a dedicated team in shaping, capture and execution of a $40M+ dynamic, high risk CR&D portfolio of multiple complex programs, experiments, and live flight demonstrations involving embedded software applications, net-enabled platforms, airborne networking, and manned/unmanned collaboration with significant unmanned air vehicle (UAV) and autonomous systems content- Developed strong working relationships with program managers and executives at DARPA, Air Force Research Labs (AFRL), Office of Naval Research (ONR) and NASA as well as with key strategic university and supplier partners while leading the successful execution of robust CR&D portfolio- My CR&D teams were consistently recognized for strong performance, having been awarded three prestigious BR&T Silver Team Awards and nominated for DARPA Program of the Year (Software Enabled Control Program - 2005) for strong performance and flawless execution

- Nominated for competitive two year Boeing executive development program - immersive learning experience, one week per quarter at different Boeing sites engaging with executive leadership, deep dives into challenges faced by major programs, shadowing executive program managers, learning and applying Boeing's Program Management Best Practices

- Launched initial Boeing funded Chinese university research engagements with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University (Beijing), Southeast University (Nanjing), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology- Managed collaborative research portfolio activities in various focus areas included broadband communications through power lines, software defined radio for aircraft cabin wireless, natural language processing, wireless infrastructure for airport facilities and adaptive beam forming antennas- Paved the foundation for the launch of BR&T-China in 2009 by developing critical in-country strategic relationships, supporting Boeing Commercial Airplane business unit in-country sourcing strategies

Three year leadership development rotation within the Boeing Corporate Audit Staff- Nominated and selected as one of only two St. Louis site candidates accepted into the highly competitive enterprise-wide executive development three year rotational program and subsequently promoted to Chicago World Headquarters Audit leadership team as Chief-of-Staff to Vice President of Corporate Audit- Provided leadership and guidance to multi-disciplined internal audit teams conducting strategic, risk-based business reviews that significantly improved business processes and internal controls associated with financial reporting obligations, operational effectiveness and compliance to applicable regulations- Developed critical business performance metrics and quarterly audit reports for The Boeing Company’s Board of Directors as well as automated tools for assessing enterprise risk and performing trend analysis for use by senior finance leadership

• Lead Project Engineer / F-15 Smart Weapons Integration - cross-functional program management role and liaison between internal/external customers on program to integrate Smart Weapons onto the F-15 platform- Team Lead & Project Engineer F-15 Electronic Warfare (EW) systems - responsible for system level performance, integration, and flight testing of F-15 radar warning receiver, RF jammer, and countermeasures dispenser in conjunction with Operational Flight Program (OFP) suite updates.- Test Engineer / F-15 Avionics Ground Support Equipment - designed avionics hardware interface adapters and automated test programs for fault isolation of F-15 avionics circuit card assemblies- Quality Engineer, Outside Production Quality Assurance - provided Quality Assurance support to F-15, F/A-18, and AV-8B avionics support equipment sites, conducted on-site inspections at various avionics supplier’s manufacturing facilities- Systems Engineer, Engineering Sub-contracts - prepared Statements of Work for prospective suppliers and evaluated subsequent bids.
