At Home Chef, I led up to 50 team members working in finance, accounting, legal, and human resources departments while helping shape company structure and steer strategic direction. Since 2016, I was instrumental in growing company revenue from $10M to $700M.Early on, I established formal finance and accounting departments while upgrading financial reporting capabilities to effectively monitor P&L and enable real-time decision-making. I also led the conversion from cash accounting to accrual accounting, revamped financial models, adopted new accounting, treasury, and payroll processes, streamlined PO and AP, and led ERP implementation.My growth contributions include raising tens of millions of dollars in capital from private equity and managing numerous debt fundraises, including securing a multimillion-dollar line of credit. I also scaled HR to support recruiting and onboarding of 1,700 employees during this time, including implementing HRIS and payroll systems, installing STI, LTI, and 401(k) programs, transitioning off PEO, and adding an organizational health team.In 2018, I partnered with the CEO to complete the strategic sale of 100% of the business to Kroger, leading all aspects of due diligence while co-managing the drafting and negotiation of the merger agreement with outside counsel. Additionally, I headed post-merger integration efforts such as consolidating insurance programs, facilitating the rapid introduction of product into retail stores, and identifying/capturing millions of dollars in annual cost synergies. Most recently, I directed a cross-functional COVID response taskforce, driving 70% YoY growth in a highly volatile operating setting.

In this role, I led financial due diligence on potential acquisitions, representing buy- and sell-side corporate and private equity clients, focusing on evaluating the quality of earnings, working capital requirements, and debt profiles of businesses to determine purchase prices. I effectively collaborated with CFOs and other business executives to understand factors that meaningfully impacted the M&A process, including company approaches to financial analysis, business management, and product delivery. During this time, I completed analysis and provided recommendations for more than 30 client deals valued between $10M and $2B.

As Lead Senior Associate, I managed 20+ team members across all audit functions for a complex multibillion-dollar Chicago-based hedge fund, including more than 60 individual funds, private investment valuations, and IT systems. Within this role, I led audit, valuation, and financial reporting services for a range of clients in investment management, mutual fund, and broker-dealer sub-sectors within the firm’s assurance practice. I prepared audit memos on complex accounting issues such as entity consolidations, incentive compensation, derivative footnote disclosures, and more.
