Solely responsible for working within the high-end machining showroom at the Nikken Innovation Centre. Offline programming a range of high-end machine tool configurations using Hypermill, MasterCAM and Solidworks.Providing turn-key programming, fault finding and consultancy services to a variety of OEM and small businesses across multiple sectors of engineering, i.e. Aerospace, Military, Automotive etc. Aiding business managers in their sales pitch by bringing customer projects offline and process improving through best practice machining methods utilising Nikken products.Innovating a range of new machining demonstrations to showcase Nikken products in industry based scenarios to enhance product sales.Supplying detailed reports through the testing and research generally for cutting tool manufacturers on new product launches. Gathering complex scientific data on wear characteristics in certain materials or tool life comparisons using different machining strategies and tool geometries.Providing training to external customers on Nikken machine tool products and Elbo-Controlli Nikken pre-setters. Offline CAM programming of various oil & gas components machined on 3 axis Hwacheon lathes using FeatureCAM (Delcam) software. 4 axis programming on heavy-duty Dah-Lih horizontal & vertical milling machines using MasterCAM X9. Materials machined include various grades of super-alloys such as F55 super duplex & 718 inconel, other materials machined include various stainless steels and other grades of low alloy steels. Beside programming, I am responsible for the delivery of comprehensive CNC operator training of all shop floor staff - from basics to more advanced CNC programming.

Online & offline programming using MasterCAM X7 CADCAM package. Using this to program various 3/4/5 axis milling machines to produce various Orthopedic Implants, Instruments and Aerospace Components to extremely tight tolerances.Process improvements - analysis of new machining techniques & strategies, tooling improvements and fixture development.New part introductions and generation and upkeep of inspection requirements, i.e. FAIRs.Machines used: Deckle Maho, DMG Mori, Quaser, Hermle, Doosan, Micron, Nakamura twin turret and Agie EDM's.Coding languages used - Heidenhain, Fanuc & Siemens.
