I studied mechanical engineering in college because of my life-long love of building, and after starting my engineering career in oil and gas and then automotive, I found the pace of progress to be slower than I would have liked.A move across the country was the perfect chance to pivot my engineering career to the realm of software and web development. Now my products can reach users around the world in an instant, and are iterated upon to continually improve and deliver the best solution possible.I have a proven track record of working on cross-functional teams to deliver features that customers genuinely enjoy using. I love the problem solving process of being given a user-story and conceptualizing then building the UI/UX that will make it into production.Some of my specialties include quickly learning new skills and programming languages, problem solving, and mentoring junior developers. So far I count JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS/Less/Sass, Angular, React, Git, Node.js, and Express among my strongest technical skills, and am always looking to add to that list.
