Transportation Security Officer
Current• Graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Georgia.• Certified to screen passengers and their luggage by hand and with the use of machines including: X-Ray, Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT), Explosives Trace Detection (ETD), handheld & walkthrough metal detectors, and bottled liquid scanners. • Assists passengers though the screening process with compassion and clear communication, occasionally by using American Sign Language.• Observes and reports significant findings to supervisors while carrying out duties in the interest of national security.• Capable of detecting fraudulent federal and state documents.• Has been cited on multiple occasions for exemplary conduct and attendance by supervisors, managers, and the assistant federal security director. • Trained in the handling, storage, and disposal of sensitive information.
