I am a Supply Chain and Sourcing Expert, What is behind?My entire career has been about creating from scratch the processes required either to supply goods & services or to ensure project completion, always with a high focus in customer satisfaction.However the processes by themselves are not enough, you need to execute them on time and on cost; facing all the variability that real life brings to you.In my experience any End-to-End Supply Chain is exposed to so many external variables that succeeding in supply chain is rather an "Art" than a science.When we focus in results and objectives we end up having to deal with some areas which could be seen as unexpected. Now that I have gone through them they look obvious to me. How can we deliver a good supply chain without overcoming a wide variety of challenges such as Indirect taxes, Quality, Sourcing, Legal, Customs, Forecasting, Repair Center, Call Centers, Negotiaiton, Planning, HSE, Customer service, Project Finance, etc…?Excellence in supply chain implies to integrate all of them and more, and therefore it requires much more than to be a traditional team player, you need to be able to lead and influence outside of your own functional area.My experience is all about the above; trying to integrate it into different company cultures around many different countries in the globe. Sharing the vision that both the start up and the multimillion company require the right balance of flexibility and discipline, and helping the world by working in the renewable energies sector.I love the job I do.
