Directing the work of the design and UX team for Gumtree, the number 1 UK classified site and part of the eBay Classifieds GroupHeading up the design team at Gumtree involves working with stakeholders within various other teams across the business (150+) including B2C, C2C, motors and mobile. Working closely with development teams, designers and mobile app teams and developers, I am responsible for the design of user experience flows from initial wire framing and prototyping through to user testing and final visual design and asset delivery.User centric design is core to our UX and design process and as part of my role I have developed a user testing toolkit to educate internal team about our persona study, prototyping software and user testing agencies.Worked closely with the Gumtree marketing department on digital and above the line campaigns, including tv and radio spots.

Built and directed a design team for Acknowledgement, a successful design agency focussed on delivering mobile and web campaign content for blue chip companies Senior member of the management team for the agency and responsible for broader creative direction and design process. Very much focussed on timely delivery of measurably impactful digital campaigns.Acknowledgement started out working from Fallon’s offices (then located in Beak street, London), being white labeled for More Than insurance and other above the line Fallon clients such as the BBC. Over the next 3 years the company and client base grew and Acknowledgement had 16 full time employees and a design team of 5 when I left.Heading up the design team consisting of myself, design director, senior designer and two juniors. My role was very hands on and consisted of overseeing all UX design and creative output, leading creative brainstorming sessions, managing the team, sourcing and managing freelancers and coming up with creative rationale for digital solutions and pitches.Working almost exclusively on UX and visual design solutions including web site design and build, mobile app design, online advertising, flash games & microsites with numerous agencies such as Fallon, TBWA, W&K, Albion, Saachi&Saachi and Hi-Res on brands such as Sony, Nokia, Wrigleys, More Than, Channel 4, BBC, Hyundai, Sharp, United Airlines and also direct clients such as Avis, MTV, Timeout, Sky, Virgin Media, ITV and AOL to name a few.

Reporting to the design manager my role as designer was to produce wireframes and finished visual designs for AOL channels and branded content areas as well as designing UX solutions and flows for the AOL client software.
