Why innovation drives me personally and professionally.I was raised on a farm as a child. After my MTS Mechanical Engineering I joined the Dutch Navy where I studied MTS Electrical Engineering in the evenings. After the Navy I worked for 10 years at three companies in different industries as electrical engineer, PLC/SCADA engineer, and project leader up to designing industrial machine and process controls. A lot of time away from home, and a lot of hours, but it's such a great profession that it never feels like work. At age 32, I took the plunge to start for myself from the attic in designing electrical controls. Why! In my youth, I grew up in a special environment that shaped me with a deep-seated drive to deliver quality, to work smart, to surprise, and to amaze. With the passion to be honest and add value to people's lives. With Yellax I create this space where innovation is the common thread of our existence and we strive for our relations to increase quality, secure knowledge resulting in a strong reduction of design times.After 22 years of entrepreneurship with ups and downs, I get to work with 50 passionate colleagues who I am very grateful for making Yellax and Typical Manager what it is today. During this time, we have developed the software application "Typical Manager," which structures and simplifies the design of industrial automation for engineers.Daily, we work with a passionate team to improve our customers' value proposition, translating strategic ambitions into clear goals and exceeding expectations with our expertise and close customer relationships. This is how we work together on the future of the industry and contribute to our prosperity and sustainable future.Is there still ambition?Yes, there is, because things can always be more sustainable. Technology determines a large part of our prosperity. We strive for a higher degree of sustainability of technical systems by providing engineers, during the design phase, with the right insights into the sustainable use of materials (CO2 emissions, circularity) and the reduction of maintenance costs and failure modes during the entire life cycle.I am energized by authentic and passionate people.
